Couples Boudoir Sessions
BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY: TIPS FOR A COUPLE PHOTOSHOOT IN BRISBANE
Booking a session for a Couples Boudoir Session in Brisbane may be nerve-wracking for a lot of people.
However, if you recently felt the desire to be adventurous and want to put your fears to rest, you should consider booking your first boudoir experience. This is a great time to celebrate your anniversary, your birthday, or your partner’s birthday, or you simply want to celebrate your relationship and add a little spark.
To help make such an experience fun and comfortable, we’ve listed a few tips on how you and your partner can make this an amazing experience for both of you.
Boudoir photography is one of the best photography styles that will allow a couple to get comfortable with each other and connect on a different level. If you are a new couple, you can discover and explore each other in this intimate style of photography. On the other hand, if you have been a couple for a long time, doing this type of photoshoot can reignite the connection and renew the spark between you.
1. Take some time to pamper yourselves.
Maybe the night before the shoot you could give each other a massage and then have a bubble bath together and take some time to talk about the type of poses you both like.
2. Choose a theme for the shoot.
When you think of boudoir photography, you might think that it is fixed on the goal of taking intimate photos in a bedroom scene. However, you can explore various themes to make the outcome different and exciting. We have several different areas and backgrounds for beautiful exotic and sexy photography, not just our bedroom scene.
3. Decide on the shoot’s level of spicy.
Depending on the theme you choose with your romantic partner, you can decide how spicy or sensual you want your photoshoot to go. Your level can be as low-key as at-home cuddling in a bedroom set, or you can decide on a much sexier and raunchier type of photography. I will discuss this with you beforehand so I can give you some ideas so can convey your vision effectively.
4. Go wild and don’t be afraid to set your limits.
Everyone has their ideas about what they want so it makes sense to discuss with me what you’d really love. You can also bring some screenshots of images and poses you love and we can try and mimic that style.
Do not hesitate to express what you want and what you don’t like. You can provide me with a checklist of what you should and shouldn’t do during the shoot so you and your partner will feel relaxed throughout the shoot.
5. Be honest with yourselves.
The boudoir session is not the time to attempt to be someone else. A good boudoir session is only possible if you are entirely open and honest with me about what you really want to do and what you don’t want to do.
6. Have a professional do your hair and make-up.
We have an amazing in-house makeup artist/hairdresser that will do an amazing transformation for you. This is an opportunity to relax and converse so by the time I pick up my camera you’ll be relaxed, confident, and ready to have amazing photographs taken. Relaxation is guaranteed, and who doesn’t like a little pampering now and then, right?
7. Bring a variety of clothing that is both stylish and sexy.
Bring two or three outfits for both of you. Stick to what you’re comfortable with and what makes you and your romantic partner feel powerful yet relaxed during the shoot. Plus I have an extensive wardrobe of lots of lingerie, teddies, nighties, wraps, and furs for you to choose to wear.
8. Do not be too obsessed when it comes to your poses.
When you look at the standard boudoir photography poses, you’ll see why we all turn to Pinterest for ideas. While the boudoir photography poses you can find on Pinterest may be helpful for those who are new to this photography style, they can also give a sense of pressure. This is because you will feel compelled to copy their poses exactly. However, keep in mind that most of what you can find online are models. And unless you are a model yourself, the best route to follow is to be yourself. Don’t worry because I will direct and help you with how to pose. What’s important is that both you and your partner are relaxed so you can produce natural-looking poses during the shoot.
9. Get over your shyness and have some fun.
A session on couples boudoir photography is an opportunity for you and your partner to get to know one another better or to reignite that spark. Make an effort to overcome any fears you may have about being in front of the camera, and then let your true selves shine during your couple photo session. This photo session might be a breeze for some people, while others might find it a little intimidating. You’ll be glad you overcame your shyness and felt powerful as a result and will absolutely love the results!
